Birds of a Feather: Beginner Birdwatching Walk (2nd of 2 sessions)

Learn about our local backyard birds right on campus! Our journey will begin at the Rutgers Eco-Preserve Bird Feeder Station, which is managed by the Rutgers Wildlife Society and Rutgers University Birdwatching Association. We’ll equip you with binoculars and briefly go over some free resources for learning more about wild birds. From there we’ll go on a scavenger hunt on the Rutgers Eco Preserve Red Trail, where along the path we’ve hidden cut-outs of some of NJ’s backyard birds. As we locate each bird, our educators will provide some fun facts about them. At the end we’ll have a raffle for a bird related prize!
