This initiative is made possible through the Wellness at Work Connection Grant and the partnership between ScarletWell and the Rutgers-New Brunswick Center for Faculty Success. ScarletWell is a Chancellor-led initiative that was created to improve wellness-related programming as part of the University’s Academic Master Plan. Schommer Astronomical Observatory may be found at the Heavens-Above Main Page . \nMore details on location: The Robert A. Schommer Astronomical Observatory is located in the dome on the roof of the Serin Physics Laboratories on the corner of Frelinghuysen Road and Allison Road on the Busch Campus of Rutgers\, the State University of New Jersey. Our journey will begin at the Rutgers Eco-Preserve Bird Feeder Station\, which is managed by the Rutgers Wildlife Society and Rutgers University Birdwatching Association. We’ll equip you with binoculars and briefly go over some free resources for learning more about wild birds. From there we’ll go on a scavenger hunt on the Rutgers Eco Preserve Red Trail\, where along the path we’ve hidden cut-outs of some of NJ’s backyard birds. As we locate each bird\, our educators will provide some fun facts about them.
