SUMMARY:Build Skills That Matter: Mental Health First Aid Certification for Grad Students (Register by 9/13)
DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) focuses on the unique experiences and needs of the college community. This 8-hour training teaches you how to identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders in others. Participants will also learn how to help connect someone to appropriate care and to campus\, local\, and national resources. All classes are free\, and both virtual and in-person options will be available (depending on interest). \nIf this training is of interest to you\, please register your interest by September 13\, so you can receive sign up information. SUMMARY:Diaper Drive In Support of Parenting Students
DESCRIPTION:In support of parenting students with infants and toddlers\, the Office of Graduate Student Life and Basic Needs will co-host a diaper drive. The drive runs Monday\, August 17 through Thursday\, September 10. We are collecting all sizes\, with a higher need for sizes 3\, 4\, and 5. \nDiapers can be dropped off at the College Ave Student Center\, on the lower level in the Basic Needs Center (open 9:00am-5:00pm) or at the Farmer’s Market being held on Morrell Street\, next to the College Ave. Student Center\, every Thursday from 11:00am-4:00pm (starting 8/27).
